A pair of busted wagon wheels lean against the hitching rail in front of the Hotel Meade in Bannack, Montana.  Bannack was a boom town during the gold rush of the 1860s, and served as the first territorial capital.  Many of the 19th century buildings in Bannack have been preserved and/or restored.
